Tele Instrumental

I'm currently on a 90 day assignment in Japan for the day gig, and I was able to bring a borrowed Mexican Tele in my suitcase (disassembled). I had some spare time this past weekend so I downloaded and played around with Reaper (on my laptop), TH-2 Guitar Amp Sim, and some freebie VSTi plugs and came up with this little tune.

Mostly just a jam, but I'm really impressed with this Tele. Not much going on here equipment-wise, an M-Audio Fast Track interface, the Tele and a cable. TH-2 is one of my favorite amp sims.. even though I'm a big fan of recording with an amp when I can. BTW, I hadn't messed with Reaper in a while, it's quite improved, very solid and useful, so I bought it (despite owning a big Logic/Mac Pro rig back at home).

Enjoy? I did...

Thanks guitar dan. I'm getting too old to work very hard at it, so laid back becomes a byproduct. That tone is one of the TH-2 stock patches, and it's really wetter than I would prefer, but I didn't mess with it. That's the neck pickup on the little cheap Tele. I have no idea what it is, but it really sings nicely.

The song had a nice relaxed feel - sounded really great and had a nice clean pure sound that I particularly like.

Thanks again to all. Hello hobo, I'm living near 品川 in 東京 ... not too close I'm afraid.. Are you here permanently?
