Can't find anything but a minimum size of 1000 feet for several hundred dollars. Any ideas?

I like the prices from the source that Ken mentioned better. His reply hadn't posted when I saw your question.

I buy cat 5 data cables and use the wires from the cables. It works great. And it's cheap.

Wire is wire; electrons in the guitar don't care what color the wire is, whether the insulation is plastic or cloth, or even how thick the wire is. Radio Shack sells 22AWG stranded wire in both red and black. The colors ain't Fender kosher, but they work just fine. My Squier Bullet Strat is full if it now and it sounds sweeeet!

Good advice. That stuff works just fine and will never be seen.
