Bigsby for Tele & ASAT

I have a G&L Tele/ASAT with Bigsby. The position of the vol/tone pots and pickup selector is not ideal as the Bigsby arm makes contact with the vol/tone and pickup selector. The Bigsby's sweet spot is right in that awkward position.

Would a larger (higher) spring on the Bigsby arm resolve the issue and has anyone found answers to this problem.

You could try to get a bigger spring or maybe insert a washer or coin or some other spacer under the spring to raise the arm a little.
