I'm shopping for a new analog delay and am thinking of tryin out this Maxon AD-999 Analog Delay. What yall's consensus with this pedal? What are some of your favorite analog delays.

I just got rid of my Malekko 616, Had an AD9 with the Keely mod. Both were nice, but didn't quite get the sound I am looking for. Tried some digital, won't do that again. Gotta be analog

AD-999 i had was pretty cool.Really Nice fat analog delay tones with a stereo out too.It replaced my old Roland space echo for awhile. Then one day, during a rehearsal,I stepped on it,broke the switch, and now it's completly dead.Too bad,i liked it A LOT!!!!.Back to the ol' space echo I guess.............

yeah, I like it when people come back and give a report. . .although sometimes there isn't one and the quest goes on. .

I love mine. I won mine in a contest and expected to flip it quick; unfortunately I plugged it in "to make sure it works".

It just has something that my Hardwire DL-8 (or Carbon Copy or Memory Boy) didn't. So I still have it. Ooops.

The AD999 was my favorite delay for many years. Was a fixture on my board.
It's an excellent and really musical pedal, but you have to like pretty dark repeats, even for an analog delay.

Then I got a Catalinbread Montavillian...which does everything I love about analog and even tape delays, but does it all better (for what I do anyway)...
