Just saw these guys in concert and this song killed. Anyone got an idea of how they got that sound for their guitar ( effect or just pick attack )? Sounds very much like the beginning of " Coming of Age " by the Damn Yankees and " For Those About To Rock " by AC/DC. Since Angus does not generally use effects, I am guessing it must be pick attack. The song is brand new and there is no tab I can find. Help a brother out!

I don't think it's a pick at all CP. Sounds like bare fingers playing a triad or partial chord-three fingers/thumb hittin' three or more strings simultaneously and then changing the chord by moving fingers within the chord. I think Eddie's doing some of the same thing in the song Finish What You Started.
Bare fingers are cool-can be very expressive.

Got if figured out. Finger picking G,D,A,D then G,D,A,A with O.D and slapback delay.
