Hi guys,

I played a gig last night with my Fender reverb tank....in all the rush setting up etc I forgot to take the lock off my tank and only found out after the gig !
However, I really liked the sound I got....it was still nice and lush etc but seemed to have less of the 'drip' sound to it.
Does anyone know if its OK to use the tank like this all the time or indeed does anyone do this.......obviously dont want to cause any harm to the tank.
Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated....

thanks.....

My understanding is that the lock is suppose to damper the springs so they don't bounce around in transit. I could understand why you wouldn't get as much drip but I'm surprised it still functioned (reverb sound-wise)....interesting though. I'm sure somewhere in the manual, there's a caution about that (maybe?). I'd have to look that one up.
