an esquire of sorts with a rear port hole for fast pup swaps. just need to make it into a tele with a rear port for neck pups, too.

perfect... no need to mess with detuning strings and removing bridges..... very handy, Rob...

next best would be a hard tail bridge that just lifts off by removing a few screws...

changing PU's with string throughs is a baitch...;)

You should make that model available for sale, Rob.

As often as some guys around here change pickups, it could be a big seller for you.

i tried that, easy enuf to do with a wilkinson tele bridge as it's a dual string-thru and top loader.

moving the saddles forward and leaving them there (intonation is not an issue on a test guitar!) gives free access to the four mounting screws ... but, the strings need to get slacked and capo'd, bridge unscrewed/removed, test pup screwed in and leads routed to the control cavity and soldered or clipped, bridge screwed down, strings brought back to tune - then test the pup.

with pup rear routing, i just screw in each pup and clip on the alligator clips - instant testing.
