Help for Awaken Me

Having a hard time trying to figure out what/how to play rythym to this song. Anyone give me some tips on playing and leading at the same time. Our lead guitarist unfortunately is not up to most of the lead parts, including that main riff that kind of makes the song. Anyone done anything else with this song "to make it there own?" Any strumming patterns you can suggest? Thanks in advance.

Well, the original artist made an instructional video, (linked by rhoydotp) giving you everything you need. If you think the riff makes the song, which it does, then learn it and play it. If you just want to play rhythm and lead the singing at the same time, I would set the delay at quarter notes, like he said, and just play the guitar clean and bright with delay using the strum pattern he showed us. Too bad your lead man can't get the riff, because it is very cool.
