It's an Ibanez singlecoil. Still has one side of the coil wired but there's like 3 loose wires from the coil wire hanging loose. Any ideas on how of if it's worth the time?????

Can this Pup be saved??TeleDrifter May 22nd, 2012, 03:32 PM It's an Ibanez singlecoil. Still has one side of the coil wired but there's like 3 loose wires from the coil wire hanging loose. Any ideas on how of if it's worth the time????? Teleterr May 22nd, 2012, 05:13 PM Move a match by every hanging wire to burn off the enamel.Just a split second in the match flame . Measure from the lead to the wire w an ohmeter, gently scraping off any carbon. If you can get a reading, just unwind until that wire can be put into a melted solder blob where the other lead is mounted on the p/up base. And its fixed. So basically NO. TeleDrifter May 23rd, 2012, 09:55 AM That's what I thought. I'll try the match thing 4 laughs tonight....Cheers |
