Trapeze bridge with light gauge strings [Archive]

I've just been poking around this forum for about 2 weeks and it's great!

I have a question:

I'd like to put a trapeze bridge on a carved-top tele, that I'd like to use with light gauge strings. Is this reasonable?

I know that using a vibrato with light gauge strings is asking for trouble.

how 'bout w/ the trapeze bridge?
