Boss DD-7 no stereo sound in headphones

I have an issue with my new dd-7 delay pedal and want to know if this is pedal problem or I do not know how to properly use it.

When I connect my headphones to dd-7 I hear only left headphone and right headphone is completely quiet. It seems that delay pedal only outputs mono sound to one channel instead of mono sound for both channels. I have used all combinations: input A output A, input B output B, A to B and B to A. (My headphones works well and I do not have this problem with other effect in my pedal board)

What I'm doing wrong? Maybe this is dd-7 problem and I have to return it?

Your DD-7 is fine.

Each output is mono, and cannot send a stereo signal to your headphones, which have a TRS connector. The connector is stereo, but since the output is only capable of mono, only one channel of your headphones is receiving a signal.

Additionally, I would not recommend plugging headphones into any pedal directly, as most are at instrument level--not suitable for headphone use.

There aren't many options for stereo headphone monitoring (although a 2 or more channel mixer might do the trick). But, you could at least plug your stereo effects into 2 channels of the mixer and use the dedicated headphone jack, like most personal mixers have.

If you don't care about stereo delay, then just take the mono output of your pedal and put it into the line input of your computer. It will never be stereo capable, but it would at least output signal to both channels of your headphones.

Hope this helps.
