SnidelyWhiplash May 20th, 2012, 02:53 PM I recently found this album on vinyl & i remember " Wishing Well ". Great
performance & the music is tight! I know this is a '80's record & probably
wouldn't have a lot of fans on a tele forum, but i find it an aural delight.
CoachJM May 20th, 2012, 02:59 PM Check out "Symphony or Damn" - one of my all time favorite albums.

e-merlin May 20th, 2012, 03:53 PM That's one of the great funky albums of all time in my book. Wishing Well used to be one of my car stereo setup tunes.
klasaine May 20th, 2012, 11:43 PM TTD is awesome ... all his records.
*He now lives in Milano It, has legally changed his name to Sananda Maitreya, owns his own label and gigs. Here he is at the 'Blue note' in Milano. Just a iphone vid but the voice is still there!

Skully May 21st, 2012, 09:35 AM I have the album. Good voice. Good looks. Slick production. Lots of hype. Lots of ego. Fatal flaw: mediocre songwriting.
blowtorch May 21st, 2012, 09:37 AM His "Sign Your Name" tune is great
Post Toastie May 21st, 2012, 09:54 AM When i first saw and heard him i thought he could front The Rolling Stones and not be a let down.
jlove May 21st, 2012, 11:53 AM Wore out that cassette driving around in my '85 Cavalier.
awfulguitarnois May 21st, 2012, 12:26 PM Still listen to that album and love it... never could quite get into Symphony or Damn, even though I own it.
mlove3 May 21st, 2012, 03:03 PM whoa!!! 80s flashback! YES!
Loved the hardline record, great voice, style. Joshua Ledet, the kid on Idol who just got bounced for the Dave Matthews clone, sounds a bit like TTD.
glad to see he's singing and playing and making a living in music. A lot of his 80s peers don't do any of those three things.

Kinda uneven, IMO, but it is my fave of his.

Love that tune.
I'm pretty sure I've posted about him here a couple times in the not so distant past. One of those guys who flashed brilliant briefly and then kinda vanished. In his case, I'm not sure why.
When he was good, he was REALLY good.
A buddy of mine did some legal stuff for him here in Toronto. As I recall, it was a bit of a thing, dealing with the Italian lawyers etc.
Cheers,
Geoff
E5RSY May 21st, 2012, 10:13 PM I have the album. Good voice. Good looks. Slick production. Lots of hype. Lots of ego. Fatal flaw: mediocre songwriting.
That pretty much nails it.
Lefty Addams May 23rd, 2012, 09:16 AM Got it on vinyl, remember it well, he was full of himself, bigger ego than most of them imo ..
cleanman May 23rd, 2012, 09:35 AM He came off as a giant ***hole by saying he was better than prince and michael jackson rather than to let his music say it for him. Music is art, track and field is competion.
RubyRae May 23rd, 2012, 04:04 PM His voice is truly divine. With the right people he could have huge success again.
Glad to see he's still making music and performing.
soul-o May 23rd, 2012, 05:10 PM I love that album and I find the songwriting anything but mediocre. I hear Terence is a badass basketball player, too.

True, but as I recall, he didn't actually believe that. He said those things because he figured it'd get him some publicity. I think he was the dude who also said his album was better than Sgt. Pepper or something similar. Again, don't think he actually said that for any reason other than to get publicity. Maybe not a good idea but still.....
Larry F May 23rd, 2012, 06:46 PM He now lives in Milano It, has legally changed his name to Sananda Maitreya,
Does this mean that I can use his old name? Why would he change that, it is only the coolest name in the world.
taxer May 23rd, 2012, 08:13 PM Oh, man, did I love his tune "This Side Of Love." Bought the album for it (album was weak), but this song is as good as any gets. What a simple, fantastic riff. The beginning of this song just pulls you in.

Yeah, I didn't like the "I'm better than Prince and Michael" stuff. It wasn't funny, it wasn't clever...just dumb. From such a fine artist I expected more than that childish publicity seeking stupidity.
