So here is my latest attempt at refinishing a cheapy. I bought this last year for $100. Had a couple of nice humbuckers laying around, an SD JB and an old Yamaha pickup out of a mid seventies Les Paul copy. I ordered a bunch of different Reranch colors and thought this would be a candidate for Seafoam Green. I left the original black finish on, lightly sanded and primed with BIN shellac primer. Used most of the Seafoam can on the body and then used Minwax lacquer clear on both the neck and body. It's had its initial buffing, but I will wait for a couple of more months and re-buff when it really cures properly. I'm quite chuffed about how it looks. The last picture also shows an Affinity BSB I re-finished in Surf Green last summer as a point of reference. Next up a MIM '69 Thinline going to be redone in Shell Pink....

I like your taste in colors.

That turned out very nice; especially with the black pick guard. I was considering the Reranch colors; looks like I'll consider them even more now.

Thanks, I was not sure the black PG was going to work until it all got put back together. It adds a nice contrast to the Seafoam green and gives it more of a "manly" look than a white PG would I think.
