Hi guys,
Few days ago I rewired my 52 ri to scheme from Cadfael (thank you Cadfael for very inspiring book). With p/p now I have options:
push down - no tone control
pos1 bridge + neck with resistor
Pos2 neck
Pos3 neck with cap and resistor
Push up - with tone control
Pos1 bridge with tone
Pos2 neck with tone
Pos3 neck with cap and resistor.
Guitar did note loose her standard tone or character. Since I play jazz also with this guitar, this simple mode made my guitar more versatile. Blend in pos1 push down does not give full neck blend (because of resistor which can be replaced with jump wire) but it has lot of sweet spots this way too. Pos3 neck with resistor and cap is little quieter because of resistor and work nice with treble bleed (removes excessive bass when turned vol pot down a bit). I will probably use jump wire instead of resistor.
Did anybody else made this rewiring?
