Greetings good folks of the greatest stringed instrument forum!!!!!
Im a 43yo father of 4 plus 2 step kids and soon to have the 5th grandchild added in. Ive been a LEO for over 16yrs. About 8 yrs ago I regained my urge to relearn and learn to play guitar again but I wanted a specific look / sound and I wanted a Tele. I haven't plucked/picked a string since 1981 or 1982...
I found Exactly what I wanted on Ebay. A sunburst - quilted top body with a Birdseye Maple neck. Both look to be Fender authorized replacements, especially the neck. They fit like a glove! Snug but not tight and no gaps. I started buying parts including Fender Noiseless pick-ups & Grover locking tuners. I ran into a snag with the bridge plate and posted in the Tele Tech under topic "Troubled water over a bridge" (clever isn't it? Or did I just lose everybody on an old song + word play) :grin:
