I would like to know how to order replacement tuners (that tighten the strings on top of the neck) for Yamaha acoustic guitar FG 200. Is there a website to see pictures and order. The local store does not have them that match what is on my guitar. I can't find them on any websites..

I guess they are called Head pegs or tuner pegs... nothing I've found looks like what is on the guitar.

The most common term for those is "tuners" or "tuning keys." There are probably hundreds of websites that sell a variety, so you should be able to find something close, if not exact.
Allparts is one: http://www.allparts.com/3-X-3-Tuning-Keys-s/168.htm
If you post a picture of the back of your headstock, we can probably help you find a good match.
What's wrong with your existing tuners?

Your help would be great...
Is this good enough or do I need to unscrew the cap?

What's wrong is there are a couple that I tighten and it goes past and and keeps winding won't stay tight. I have to constantly tune the strings.

Oh wow, those are oddball tuners. I've never seen an exact replacement for them. If you're lucky, one of these will fit the existing holes:

http://www.allparts.com/3x3-Grover-Style-Keys-Chrome-p/tk-7840-010.htm
Are you absolutely certain that the problem is in the tuner? It's actually very rare for one to wear out enough that it needs to be replaced. More often there's a problem at the nut (the string gets caught and makes that little "ping" sound while you tune it), the strings are just old and don't hold their tune, or poor technique when putting it on the post.

I've had this guitar since the 70's and they are the original tuners. How do I measure to know if a different style would fit?

Yamaha still make FG series acoustics.
http://usa.yamaha.com/products/musical-instruments/guitars-basses/ac-guitars/fg/?mode=series#tab=product_lineup
They are quite proud of the fact that the range has a 40 year history. The FG200 was one of the early models from '72-'76.
It's possible a set of tuners from a current model would fit if you want to keep a touch of authenticity.
There is a parts support area here http://usa.yamaha.com/support/parts_manuals/ which may help.

Just joined this forum to respond to your old Yamaha FG-200 tuner question. My Yamaha FG-200 has a replaced tuner called an economy tuner. Works fine if you don't mind tapping new holes to install it. It came w/ the guitar but looks like it may have come from this site http://www.allparts.com/3x3-Economy-Keys-Chrome-p/tk-7558-010.htm
Of course by now you have probably replaced your bad tuner. Can you let me know if you have and what you used. I have another tuner that slips and need replacing.
Thanx
