Phase 90 not phasing!!! [Archive] - Telecaster Guitar Forum

Hi.
I got a cheap (but broken) mxr phase 90 off ebay. I was under the impression it would be easy to fix as the guy selling said it was just a problem with a switch and his dodgy soldering.
I swapped the switch out and that is now working fine and seems to be in order (led lights up when pressed) but I'm not getting any signal when in phase mode. I can hear my guitar fine in bypass.
Any ideas what the problem may be? Could it be a problem with the contact points where i have put the new switch in?

you know anyone with a signal generator and a scope? I had the same issue and took it to a friend who had those two pieces of equipment. it turned out a i had a bad diode and a broken cap just after the input. i would have never found the cap on my own. it looked good until unsoldering it and realizing one of the legs was broken.
