Do a search on member Rob DiStefano.

He installed a set, and may have even posted a clip on this pickup set.

He did move on to other pickups fairly soon after, I think, but his review would be very illuminating.

I've used the AlNiCo version . It totally sucked. Bad tone and puny signal. I think the Neos were the idea and the AlNiCo an afterthought. The p/ups are just a normal twin blade micro HB like a Hot Rails, but have a magnetic keeper over them w the fake poles. So the magnetic field just goes in a circle, not out to the strings. Only the incredible power of the Neos get it to work at all. The AlNiCos are pathetic.

I'd love to see a set of these under the cover & apart
It does sound like allot of work ,R & D for something that don't sound so GOOD

I haven't heard the Neos, they might be ok. Theres a thread w a photo of one apart I'll try and find it and link.Construction is easy, just twin blade w a top.

I know I'm responding late to this thread, but I thought I'd add an insight that might help others who are considering noiseless single coils replacement pickups. The ones I've tried so far, the DiMarzio Virtual Vintage and the Holy Grails from Lace, as well as the older stacked humbuckers from Duncan usually employ some variation of the classic humbucker to reduce or eliminate noise. What you end up getting is a pickup with the low, and mid, and high-mid range of a true single coil, but be warned that you will still be missing a good amount of frequencies.

I downloaded a free spectrum analyzer program which allowed sampling the sounds and graphing the results. Basically the program would start sampling and keep adding the continuous results to the graph so while it would start out with a thin graph, it would quickly fill out and shade in the frequencies that were being used. Then I tested the VV's, the Holy Grails, a true SC from a MIM Strat and a true SC pickup from a cheap Chinese strat. I played the same note on each pickup, picking repeatedly different ways, soft, hard, with a pick, with my thumb, etc.

After 30 seconds for each, I'd take a screenshot of the results which by now contained peaks for all the frequencies each pickup could produce. When I compared the screenshots, I found that all had similar peaks (with some variations) in certain frequency ranges and, compared to a true side-by-side humbucker, there was a pronounced shift in the high-mid ranges, this being the 'single-coiley' sound.

However, at much higher frequencies, the side-by-side humbucker and noiseless SC's had no peaks while both the MIM and Chinese pickup had slight to moderate peaks in certain areas. What this means is that there are frequencies in real SC pickups that simply do not exist in noiseless and humbucking pups, and no amount of EQ can boost what is completely not there.

You can duplicate these experiments yourselves.

I have a set of NEO6 X NEO5 X NEO6 in my Strat. Very happy with them. I also have the on board pre-amp/equalizer with true bypass. They sound great with or without boost but really shine with the boost.

I've since had a cover off again. Its not a keeper, its just for show. They are twin blades w a cover to look like S coil.

Sounded dead to me. Plus, in my experience, Gfs costumer support suck...
