What a great idea and development . [drool]
it sounds great to me. I'd love to have one - except this isn't going to happen as it's far too expensive for me and I'd rather have that sort of brigde on a Tele.

Sollophonic, one of our TDPRI brethren, has been building similar instruments for several years.

Thanks. I'm quite aware of Sollophonic's and other TDPRI members Tele-Reso builds.
they were always very interesting to me.
what intrigues me about the Duesenberg model though is that they don't go the traditional way of using a biscuit bride and cone.
instead they use a leaf spring in the bridge to get the reso sound, fully independant of the standard pickup configuration.
btw, don't let the disk front of the Doozy fool you - there's no resonator cone underneath it.
it's just the design of a semi-hollow guitar. any guitar could look quite standard except for the funky special bridge.
