One of those artists with an incredible set of pipes. Knew who she was when you heard her on the radio. Not like a bunch of the current artists that all sound the same.

Not knocking the current singers as much as the music industry for not giving us better.

That.... and kind of like the male "yarlers" the females all sound the same stylistically with respect to their genre's. But they all have the Brittany Spears voice break enunciating the first syllables of words (almost irrespective of genre). And other weird inflections that are becoming cliches. oh well.....

Always loved how she could go from soft to incredible power.
Likely one of the most powerful female voices in popular music.
She was really one of the first women to sing Rock, country, Pop and big band type stuff all equally well.

My favorite of all time is her version of "Allison"
