Hi all, So I've been digging around in my parts bin and I came across this set of p'ups that I forgot I had. These have been hanging around here so long that I can't remember what the heck they came off!

I do remember years ago that I had a tiesco tele clone and I also had a Satallite strat clone, think maybe its off one those.

Anyway, my problem is I cut the wires, in my naivete:oops:, too close to the pickup. Now, is it possible to solder a wire to the wire thats there? Or do I have to go inside and operate?

Also, the yellow wire on one of the pickups is grounded to the case, but not on t'other, would you say I should solder the other wire in the same manner?

I was thinking of using these on a LP JR DC, I think they would sound great, set up in open G and played for slide guitar. What'dya think?

It looks like the yellow wire was soldered to the case at some point.

See the glob of solder with bits of wire sticking out of it.

The yellow wire goes to the case like on the other pickup, and you can splice the other wire if you like.

Don't use a soldering gun to do the soldering - use a pencil iron. The gun sets up enough magnetic field around it to totally erase the magnetism in the pickups!
