Sorry if this is not the correct place to post.
I have a 19' cable that I just repaired. Puzzled by this!
Going straight from tele into amp. From zero to full with the volume knob, it is relatively even in the sweep until the very last 1/10th, where it makes a huge jump in volume. It reminds me if a pot that has a bad spot.
This does not happen with any of my other cables, but I don't understand why.
Would this be a capacitance issue, a bad wiring job on my part, a weaker shield? I'm really curious what causes this and if anyone can explain why.
