What are the pros or cons of running the heater wires from the PT straight to the tube sockets with a jumper to the pilot light as opposed to the "standard" path to the pilot light then down to the tubes?

FenderLover May 14th, 2012, 10:24 AM Electrically, there is no difference because the heaters and pilot are all in parallel. The amp has no idea what you've done as long as it gets its juice. I'd call that a pro because it adds flexibility to your wire routing choices. Jcn3 May 14th, 2012, 03:13 PM keeps the number of wires in a solder joint smaller if you go through the pilot light. i don't like having lots of wires jammed into a joint on a tube socket. |
