Switchin resistor for a trimmer

hey guys after months of beating my head against the wall on my LPB-1 build i finally got it!!!! so now its tweaking time ;) i made another one with a 100k trim pot in place of a 47k resistor. and i was told to just wire it on one lug and the wiper. should i solder the other lug to the wiper? i can adjust it a little bit right now but will soldering one lug to the wiper sound different?

There is absolutely no need to solder the lug to the wiper.Nothing will happen,tone or otherwise.

Sometimes the 3rd lug shoul be soldered to the board just to give it more mounting strength/support.
