OK, my first guitar build-
I absolutely didn't want a poly finish and am not ready to spray nitro, so I tried polymerized tung oil, which I used for two-three coats... Then I decided I should try filling the grain (mahogany and spalted maple), so I put some CA on there after sanding with 400... So far so good. Then I put more tung oil on and decided I needed more grain filling! More CA, light sanding, then more tung oil. It actually shows promise! Looking like it might work great in fact, but will the tung oil actually cling to the CA? Will it self-destruct in a month? And am I actually getting not a poly finish, but just another, thinner plastic finish when I really wanted tung oil? This CA is really amazing but is it cheating? Got the first build jitters...
