Greetings Everyone!!!!I have been reading these forums for years,waiting for the day when i would be a Tele owner myself.Well,that day has come.I ordered a FSR Fender Telecaster,Ash body and hot Texas pickups,cherry sunburst.My heart jumper outta my chest as i opened the wrapper and laid my eyes for the first time on that gorgeous cherry sunburst finish.Everything on the guitar seems perfect and tomorow im taking it to a local luthier just to make sure all is well,but it played like buttah all afternoon,all i had to do was tune the g string,plug into my Line 6 Spider 4 and put the setting on folsom prison and away i went.It is a MIM,but i found nothing aaat all wrong with it,i took it a few doors down to a friends house,this guy has been playing tels for years and he instantly fell in love with it and told me that he couldnt tell any differance between his vintage collection and this new one.For a long time i considered buying a chinese tele and fought with myself.Iam really happy i bought the Fender that i did,one of the first things i did was take the 2 bumper stickers that came with it and stuck them on my Dodge Hemi Ram Laramie,something i swore i would never do,but im now a proud Fender owner so the heck with it!!!!I purchased the guitar from MUsicians Friend and even though the ad said nothing,they packed in a very nice fender gig bag,a cord ,strings,2 straps,the guitar only took 4 business days,free shipping and it arrived in perfect condition,so if you are getting ready to buy a new guitar,id give them a try,i currently live in west central IL and i hope i can meet some other Tele lovers,please forgive my typing,afterall im still shaking from the excitement a new guitar gives you:)
