I have been looking and reading from this site for quite a while now although I dont think i have posted anything so here goes.......
I want to paint a couple of telecasters I have and was wondering if either of these spray cans would be ok??

also if they are ok to use what clear coat should I use with them.
Many thanks in advance

I think you could use either of those but I've been told it's not a good idea to put clear over satin or matte. So if you use the paint in that second link you probably shouldn't put clear on it.

Thundersleet, thank you very much for the use of your knowledge, i'll opt for the first link and see how that looks, what would you say was the best for the clearcoat?

Gloss over matt/satin is the norm now for modern auto paint I believe and also those special metallic finishes .The clear acts to bond the molecules of the color base coat .I have used it on model autos .It doesnt say what kind of paint it is but I assume graffiti ,sorry wall art, type paint .As such it might not be suitable or not .it seems very cheap so its viscocity and flow may well not suit guitar spraying at least not for a perfect finish .It looks great for a wall art finish though .

Yes Musicalmartin I did think they were very cheap BUT... maybe it is worth a go on a real rubbish guitar I have kicking around first (Marlin Sidewinder!) and see how it all goes.
I would get into using "proper paint" as I do have a compressor but I would guess thats a whole different and hard learning curve!!
Many thanks for giving me your thoughts though, its all very helpful.

I asked about a different graffiti paint a little while back. If you look at the thread there is some discussion about clear over matte and someone also posted a few links with some great information and tips for using graffiti paints.
The information is in this thread: Anyone ever try Montana GOLD paint? (http://www.tdpri.com/forum/finely-finished/175419-anyone-ever-try-montana-gold-paint.html)

You are a star, I will read that thread in a bit on my 2 hour journey home.
To be honest I just want the cheapest GOOD paint there is, wish I could just through money at the stuff but the money is in short supply!!
