Coil split wiring , help please

I searched the bowels of the internet for secured information but it still is difficult to see through the correct and wrong diagrams. So i want a diagram for coil splitting wiring and here is my setup :

HH setup, 1 neck 4 way conductor humbucker, 1 bridge 4 way conductor humbucker
1 tone 1 volume (500K)
Standard 3way tele switch
1 DPDT on/on/on mini switch

These are the controls that will be on the guitar. What i want is to have all the humbucker standard positions
e.g.
On the 3 way switch : Full Neck Humbucker / Full Neck+Full Bridge humbuckers / Full bridge Humbucker
(typical HH setup)

And one (or two if possible) coil split positions:

On the 3 way switch : Outer Neck coil / Outer Neck coil + Outer Bridge Coil / Outer bridge coil

(and the second if possible)

On the 3 way switch : Inner Neck coil / Inner Neck coil + Inner Bridge Coil / Inner Bridge Coil

It doesnt matter if the 3 way has the same order as above , but i want to have all the pickup combinations described...well at least the full humbucker and one of the full single coils( prefferably the outer setup)

Can you please reaffirm this is possible and provide me with an adequeate wiring diagram ?? ?

P.S. I do not want push pull pots or anything else . Please propose based on the components i described only. THanks in advance :)

Edit : I think i did not clear my thoughts well : IN short , the mini switch has 3 positions . On the 1st position i want it to kill the inner coils of both humbuckers. On the middle 2nd position i want it to activate both coils on both humbuckers(like if it didnt exist in the first place), and on the 3d position i want it to kill the outer coils on both humbuckers.

I add this visualization of the desired result. I dont understand the series/parallel concept, but in any case i want the pickups arranged in the most standard way. E.g the two outer coils on both Humbuckers should be something like the middle position on a std telecaster

Don't think you can do it with an on/ON/on 3-way.

You need an on/OFF/on 3-way mini-toggle, and then it's a simple matter of connecting the series pair from each pup to the center (common) lugs, one pair on each pole. On each pole, one of the two switchable lugs would be routed to ground to get one coil, and the other goes to the hot lead of that pickup on the 3-way to play the other coil. Centered, it's OFF - so no coil-shunts happen, and you get the full humbuckers.

Something I like to do with a setup like that is to rotate the bridge pickup - that way, the inside coils are a noise-canceling pair, and the outside coils are a noise canceling pair. It makes wiring the mini-toggle take a bit more thought, but IMHO it's worth the small extra effort. I prefer to run the four-conductor leads right to the "coil-selector" mini-toggle first, it makes for a neater wiring job. Here's what the mini-toggle wired for that idea looks like:

Again, rotating the bridge pup with the mini-toggle wired like this will give you inside coils / humbucker / outside coils; and both of the single-coil options would be noise canceling when played together (middle throw of the pup selector).

Thanks for the reply. Actually the DPDT on/on/on is a toggle miniswitch, not a regular fender . it looks something like this: (this exactly :P) http://images.thomann.de/pics/prod/178475.jpg

Ive seen coil split going with simple on/on switches. Cant i wire the full humbucker mode on the middle lugs, and keep the single coil ones on the other ends?

The simplest way to do this would be to use a 5 way super switch and wire exactly what you are talking about. One way to get the switching diagram is to get the diagram for a Music Man Axis Supersport. They have 2 hums and the switching is bridge hum, both outer coils, both hums, both inner coils, neck.

NO. You MUST use an on/OFF/on (http://www.guitarfetish.com/DPDT-ON-OFF-ON-Mini-Toggle-Switch_p_1207.html) switch for this mod to work as I've described it - which is exactly what you have asked for. Humbucker in the middle, selects the individual coil when thrown one way or the other.

An on/ON/on won't work for what you want - no way, no how, sez I...

I believe Eddie is right.

Nooooooo , the screams of a thousand roaring seagulls surging through my failed order.....

Thanks for the let know ,. Eddie i trust you and i can understand from what you know that youre right ... However i cant send the switch back as it would cost and money is tight so i dont wanna spend another 10 euros...
Is there any coil splitting i can do with the on/on/on switch? Anything as long as i have the H / HH / H function and some split function will satisfy me...

Jack ive already bought most of my stuff and ordering a new 5w superswitch would set me off budget... Thanks anyway..

You do NOT need any switching to get your H /H+H/ H combos, so that's a lock. No worries.

Can't spring the ten bucks for an on/OFF/on? C'mon, it does EXACTLY what you want, and it will be in the guitar for as long as you own it. SAGE ADVICE: you're so close to your dream, don't scrimp on it now... there, I said it.

That aside, here's what you can do with your on/ON/on:

You could run ONE pup with the S-D series/split/parallel scheme (http://www.seymourduncan.com/images/products/electric/humbuckers/501005-110.pdf) (on the second page). That would give you SOME options on one of the pups. I'd recommend you do the neck pup, leave the bridge as the "unmolested" humbucker in that scheme. You get three tones out of one pickup - coils in series (humbucker), coil-shunt (single-coil), and coils-in-parallel.

Remember, that drawing uses the S-D color code - different brands of pickups use different color codes. IF you need help "translating" it to your pups, let us know.

The only other thing I can think of would be to wire it so that the mini-toggle centered is "off," leaving the pups as humbuckers; then, thrown ONE way it coil-shunts the bridge pup; thrown the other way, it coil-shunts the neck pup. No way to get them both shunted in one throw with an on/ON/on.

So, that's still some variety - just not the "inside/outside coils" scheme you had hoped for.

BTW, I have the "inside/outside" coils scheme on one of my axes, and I like it very much. I used two push/pulls and the S-D "P-Rails" scheme (http://www.deaf-eddie.net/guitars/telelpjp.html), so I can also get coils-parallel for both pups.

Ah, Yet again thanks. THis answer is completely accurate. I will go for the series/split/parallel wiring on the neck pickup :) Afterall it seems more sophisticated than my original plans. Sure i wont have an S-S configuration ( except for the parallel ) but HS combos rock as well . Will post results when it gets ready. Possibly on the main thread of the build.
