Decal Removal

Hi Guys, finished my 1st build recently. Stupidly, I ordered a vinyl decal for the headstock, and I don't like it. I've ordered another waterslide decal that looks way better. Now what do I do to get the vinyl one off? headstock is nitro finished, there is no clear coat on top of the decal - just the vinyl on top of the nitro finish. Can I put soapy water on the nitro finish? Should I heat it with a hair dryer?

Then, what can I use to clean the old glue off?

Thanks!

Can you simply peel that sticker off?

Use Naptha and a rag to remove the glue.

I've used a hair dryer to remove vinyl stickers from a car. The finish is pretty hard on a car. I don't know if you would damage a soft nitro finish doing it that way. I used goo gone to remove the residue. And again I don't know what that would do to a nitro finish.
