telecaster control plate size

Are all Fender telecaster control plates the same size?I bought one described as a "original Fender control plate" which is larger than the hole in the scratch plate I ordered by a 2mm. It measures 34mmx160mm -is that the correct Fender size or have I bought a wrong un.I can trim the scratch plate to fit though or buy another but wondering which is right the control panel or the scratch plate.
BTW the control panel is quite thick and heavy chrome steel about 2.3mm

There are at least two 'standard' pickguard and control plate versions.
Type 1 which are 33.5mm across and type 2 which are 32mm. Gets even more confusing with some import control plates which are drilled for Alpha/mini pots and the larger CTS types don't fit the holes.
AFAIK Fender chrome control plates part number 0992058000 are 32mm
