I use a MAC & GuitarPro 6. http://www.guitar-pro.com/en/index.php

I've heard good things about TuxGuitar. http://tuxguitar.herac.com.ar/

I think most PC users use Power-Tab. http://www.power-tab.net/

Can't you only see PowerTab tabs with PowerTab, and not to just like to paste in a forum?

can then save to guitar pro file, .bmp file or .pdf file....

Power tab is a good format if you're putting your tabs online cuz it's free software. Otherwise I use Guitar Pro.

I have something I picked up at a garage sale, G Vox, Guitar, "Hooks your guitar to your computer." Gotta ask my techie friends if there's any way I can run it. I may have to get an old computer. It has a hex pickup, that you plug into your computer. Supposedly does tab or standard notation. Anybody heard of it? Is there something newer?
