As I start to prepare for my next project, I find myself researching (again) for just the 'basic' information on how to do it the right way. Each project is different enough that I need new information. For example, my last projects involved guitars that I redid the paint presently on them. One involved lacquer, the other involved poly. This next project will be started on bare wood - but it depends on whether I'm going to stain, or go solid, as to what prep is needed. If going solid, do I really need to grain fill, or will the primer take care of that? See what I'm getting at? It would be so nice to have a decisional type block diagram to navigate through for the answers to the basic questions that asked time and time again. Not technique, that would be impossible to agree on. It would make a great App for those who know how to program, and I'm betting a lot of people would pay a few bucks for it.
