I'm currently playing a 5E3/5D5 hybrid that tends to swallow "smooth" overdrives whole at stage volume levels. I'm curious what some of you other tweed players are using. In general, I favor pedals with a coarser grit and some personality to the midrange. I'm not shopping; just would like to hear what works for you. Any thoughts?

I love my SD1 through my Fender Champ. 600.

At stage volume it's all about mid-range and one pedal comes to mind.
It begins with "T" and ends in "ubescreamer".
Virtually any pedal derived from the TS circuit will sound the same at high volume if you ask me (I found this out the hard way by buying and selling lots of overdrives and wondering why nothing was changing).

I like the TS and SD-1 too. The 720 hz cutoff on the HP filter does wonders for cleaning up the 5E3's sometimes wooly lows.
