Looking For A Tele Neck PU

I`m trying to find a PU for the neck of my Tele Thinline bass project. At this point I intend to use the neck w/o going into the PU route with it & in conjunction with a nearly stock Tele guitar PG.

There are a variety of guitar neck PUs available but I`m uncertain that they will work well combined with a regular bass (in bridge) PU. The rail type seems to be the best candidate of this variety since poles are not a part of the equation but are they wound enough to bring a bright bass tone to the instrument? I`m thinking that I will end up using something like this:

I would give the GFS a try, the Lil Killer in my bronco mod is a tasty pup and taps nicely. I'm guessing it's cousin would work as well plus they have a generous return policy?
