For an 'acoustic player' I think he out-Teles both those other slingers. Tommy is a rare musical treasure with a monstrous talent. And look at the energy and enthusiasm he brings to the stage. I'd love to hear him play more Tele.

Amen and Amen. I'd love to hear him play more Tele too. He is one of the true living greats.

Tommy is an amazing guitarist, saw both Tommy and Phil last year and can honestly say it was one of the best gigs I have been to. Their version of Turkish March has to be seen to be believed.

my flat screen tv and pumped the audio through my stereo!!

I LOVE TECHNOLOGY!!

I've been fortunate to see Tommy Emmanuel on two occasions. If he's not the best all around guitarist in the world then I have no idea who is.

He's also the only one who even remotely plays over the changes.
Which is odd because Jorgenson does all that Django stuff - go figure?

I like Tommy's groove a little better too.

I was surprised by Jorgenson's playing as well. It seemed wholly uninspired. I was expecting a real serious throwdown but he left me unmoved. The only thing that seemed to energize him was watching Tommy play. No wonder.

I was expecting more from Jorgenson because he does the Django stuff but frankly I thought his playing was pretty rudimentary.

Tommy was a tele player before he switched to acoustic - long story - look it up. Loads of his tele stuff on YouTube.
