Emi 'crankin' country' speaker pair for SFVR [Archive]

Just got this set and installed them in my '70 VR. My initial impression is very good. It's a Emi Legend 1058 & a Patriot Copperhead. I've been very happy w/ a pair of 1058's in my other '71 VR. They replace the original Oxfords, which I really like but won't hold together on the bottom when our country-rock band gets louder at some gigs. The 1058's are excellent and have the sweet top end that I dig in the Oxford's plus a more robust low mid tone. This new pair seems to have a little more midrange info that gives it a thickness I like without getting too middy. I will review them in more depth after a couple gigs.
