Open G set-up

I recently began playing my tele solely in open G tuning. I love the sound of it and it feels good, but I'm wondering if there is any type of set-up or other considerations I need to take into account.

Is open G known to cause any neck movement or other problems? Is there brand or size of string I should use? I have some 10s on it right now. I've noticed the action is pretty high so I bend strings out of tune when playing chords occasionally. Any information from you veteran open tuning players would be appreciated.
