Best Sacramental Wine Bottle for Guitar Slide?

The thought strikes me that the neck from a bottle of sacramental wine would be a good thing to make a guitar slide. Has anyone done this? What are some brands of non-alcoholic sacramental wines with a nice neck for forming a slide?

Cute, but...um...really? Our church uses sacramental wine that has alcohol in it. It's not consecrated in the bottle, but rather in the chalice and/or cruet (sometimes the flagon), and in any event it's the contents that are consecrated rather than the container. So, it's simply wine, no matter the intent.

As for non-alcoholic sacramental wines, here are some. Google is your friend:

As for whether any of them are any good, that's up to you, but it's not much more than grape juice if it's non-alcoholic.

The glass used for these wines won't be any more special than other wines, and won't make your playing any more heavenly. However, you could try raiding the recycling bin at whatever church you fancy...or talk to the church leaders.

I use a Metal slide. Maybe I should get one that was melted down from a historic Roman sword that may of been used by Peter in the Garden of Gethsemane.

That sounds fine but personally, I've never been into 'relic' jobs...

I use a metal slide too, but I like the idea. I think you should do it. Maybe I will too...

This is the weirdest question I have ever seen in this forum, but I like it. I have nothing to say other than the wine bottle should not have a tapered neck and if it does, you should have a good grinder.

Is the opening wide enough for a finger to fit comfortably?

Being good Methodist, we generally use Welch's grape juice which bottle comfortably accomodates the entire hand. It does nothing for expression however. Since I drive my mother-in-law to mass at the Catholic church on my way to service, I think I'll ask the Monsignor to let me recycle his empties. Yes, it sounds a bit silly but why not?

Might be a great source for a slide. Obviously Peter's victim didn't have an ear for music.
