Dave_O May 2nd, 2012, 04:48 AM Working this end, Rob.
jhundt May 2nd, 2012, 09:40 AM wow I have heard a lot of great things about Dumble amps; I never actually heard one before, but I can't say that that amp sounds very good to me. I guess I am just not a Dumble kind of guy.
muchxs May 2nd, 2012, 10:01 AM That's an early one. The "new" ones are at least two generations beyond that, three if you count HRM. Besides, there are a few tweaks in the overdrive trim that are usually mis-adjusted.
I think it was Robben Ford that said, "I don't understand it. Dumbles sound best in Dumble's living room."
musicmatty May 2nd, 2012, 01:01 PM SupO Sweet
Scotty 2 May 2nd, 2012, 10:45 PM The tone sounds "honky/nasaly???
gadgetfreak May 2nd, 2012, 10:53 PM I love this amp, I already had this favorited in my playlist. I remember when I first heard this I was really impressed and havn't heard in awhile and again now I'm listening saying the same thing, I likey alot. Sound's Juicy to me

That made me laugh. I think the trem sounds pretty darn good tho.
Dumble has never been my cup of tea. They sound dated to me, and not in a good, true "vintage" way.
robt57 May 2nd, 2012, 11:13 PM That is why I do a Zen, just to touch that exact mid hump once in a while, the clone I have I like better than a real Zen too. Seems like the Dumble can do what it takes a specific voiced speaker to do though about any way cleaner speaker though. From what I think I hear... In recordings, not heard one with my own ear... Although one of Bonamassa's amp is right there, if he even uses that anymore.. But heard that with my own ears...
MickM May 2nd, 2012, 11:28 PM What guitar is it? Straight in or effected? I liked it more than most amps with that many knobs! Also sounds like there's a lot of differen't tones hiding behind that faceplate. Nice noodling too btw.
Jim Dep May 3rd, 2012, 03:15 PM I like it, sounds great to my ear for that style. I'd tweak it a little, but the tone foundation is already there.
I've been having problems with the YouTube embeded link. What worked before aint working now. Yours came through though.
brbadg May 3rd, 2012, 08:16 PM It doesn't matter what guitar it is.That's one of the things.

Really? It's been my experience with low watt tube amps that some sound better with single coils, some with humbuckers, some with solidbodies others with hollow bodies and filtertrons. No?
rangercaster May 3rd, 2012, 11:01 PM don't forget that Dumble only built amps that were custom made for the player/buyer ... so they are all assembled and tweaked differently accordingly ... so people who talk about a "Dumble" sound really miss the point ... i'm not saying they aren't great amps ... but for the money involved, you could have a good boutique maker custom voice an amp to your taste for less money, and with the savings buy a couple three nice vintage guitars to play through it !!!

No doubt, what else is even close in cost?
