There's one for sale locally for $100. Its 1x12 30w with the original uk celestion. Opinions, pros/cons, good deal?

If its the SS one from mid '70s - mid '80s, I wouldn't waste my money. However, at $100 it's a very good price but having had one years ago, I'd say you'd be far better off putting your $ towards something else.

Looking for a good Marshall tone without paying the big $, I like the Marshall AVT's on the used market. They don't get the recognition they deserve one reason being that the power amps are solid state. These are the best hybrid amps they've made to date and can be bought for cheap. They'll do just fine against some Marshall all tube combos like the DSL's.

I had a Master Lead 30 for a while and I really liked it. I have a Lead 12 1x10 these days - the 30 was a 1x12 both are Celestion equipped. The may lack a little in the lower end department but some say they sound like SS mini JCM 800's. Iv'e never played a JCM but I sure enjoy these 80's Marshall transistor amps. I paid less than $100 for my Lead 12 if there is any help in that.
