If one was not planning on aging or relic ones guitar would it be ok to use Deft nitro hybrid from depot?
How much faster will it dry?
Any pics of it being used?
Why so much hate of this product?

Thanks

Never heard of Deft hybrid nitro. Do you mean Deft Nitro-Pro?
Better off to use Watco or Minwax.

I've used the regular deft nitro with no problems. I personally didn't have ant problems with it drying. I put on two to three very light sprayings 45 min apart each day for three days and into small room with heater over night. I'm not sure what you mean by the hybrid.

I think he's referring to this one...Deft Hi-Brid Catalyzed Lacquer.

I've read that the HD Deft nitro has vinyl elements and other chemicals that speed up drying and also make the nitro even more durable, but virtually impossible to age and check within 1 years time! UGH for relic'ers.

Things that make nitro more durable and prevent checking are what furniture makers and woodworkers want out of their finishes. No slam on the relic crew, I like it when it's nicely done, but you can't expect a finish company to put out a product that - according to over 99% of their customers - would be defective by design.

BTW, Deft dries quite slowly compared to most.
