Neck for Esquire Build

Hi, everybody. I've decided to build an Esquire-like guitar and need some help tracking down the neck I want for a relatively low price (because I'm cheap like that). So far, I've only ordered the body (Squier CV 50's), but I figured the neck would be my next biggest/trickiest purchase.

I've got two MIM Strats with the modern/slim C profile neck, but I want something thicker. Something more similar to my Ovation's thicker V neck, but not necessarily a V shape. Also, I prefer Kluson style tuners, but don't mind the more modern style. Maple fretboard is an absolute must. Not too concerned about the radius, though I'm used to a 9.5".

So...I guess my real question is what all Telecasters did Fender (or possibly Squier) make that have a thicker C or V profile and whether or not they had Kluson style tuners. That, and whether or not I should get a Mighty Mite, Allparts, or just spring for a Warmoth neck. As far as Fender necks go (from what I've read), I think the Baja Tele neck might be in line for this project. Any thoughts?

Sounds like the Baja neck is what you are looking for. (They ain't cheap)

Did some more research, and it looks like the Modern Player Telecaster has a C shape neck and Kluson style tuners. Anybody familiar with those?
