Hello everyone, I'm new to the board, but I've been following and using it as reference and for help for a while now!

I ordered a warmoth deluxe tele back in feb, it arrived last week. It looks killer and Im really happy with it so far....Except!!......I wanted to put a hipshot bridge on this guitar, and warmoth didnt offer it. I ordered the one I wanted back in feb as well. Warmoth said they could drill for it, but I had to ship them the bridge so it would be correct. I shipped it to them and it all came back last week.

Long story short, the mounting holes line up well enough, but the string holes are off a bit. I can still fit the strings thru, but I worry about premature breakage from the overlap of the holes.

I'm including pics and hoping some of you more experienced folks on the board can tell me if i will be ok, need to send it back, or find a different bridge that fits.

thanks and Im looking foward to replys!!

Welcome. I've seen worse. It looks like it would work okay if they don't get any worse after you put the screws in.

Try it if you think you won't mind living with it. (If it works, nobody else will know).
Send it back if you don't think you can be happy even if it works.

If it were mine, I would attach the bridge with the mounting screws, and just drill out the string holes a little from the top through the bridge.

You generally want to smooth out the edge of the bridge plate where the string passes through anyway. Just be careful here with that dark plated finish. Maybe just a touch with some Mitchell's abrasive cord rather than something more drastic like a round needle file.

Yep.

Thanks for the reply guys..I guess it will be ok, I plan to widen out just enough of the holes to sync up with the bridge and smooth the string holes of the bridge out as suggested!!
