any of you out there using this program? I was thinking of using it for a one man band. Feedback anyone?

I've had this software for about 4 years. I haven't used it for at least a year due to my frustration with it. Don't get me wrong, it does what it says on the box - I guess it's just not for me. I'd rather be playing instruments than fiddling about with software.

These days I make my own backing tracks using a Boss BR600.

I need to upgrade, so I haven't used it in a couple of years, but I have loved it. I don't "one man band" with it, but I've used it to create practice tracks for diverse tunes in different genres. It does require considerable attention to use correctly.

Yep I love it. I have the 2010 version and it works fine. it uses real samples via wav. files is tweakable to the max converts midi to wav so you can easily edit tracks...ie take out all but what you want I generally just keep drum bass and keys. check out the songs on my signature at the bottom. these were from my trio.

I used BIAB to compose with and to recreate a backing tracks to gig with in a duo/single. The sounds that come with 2012 version are amazing and very workable. I only have an older version as I have older computers. I export the midi files into MOTU Digital Performer for tweaking and assigning better samples. The first time I saw BIAB was while visiting a 4th grade classroom. If they can run it, we all can run it. I end up with an MP3 track played from iTunes then into the PA. BIAB with RealTracks is amazing.

I don't have real Tracks pkg, but I was impressed when I saw the demos.

As mentioned earlier, BIAB is a great practice tool. I can set up a jam track in about a minute or two, literally. It is very easy to use it as a basic back up band, but there a re lots of things that I still don't know how to do on it.

Another cool thing you can do is save the BIAB song as a midi file and import it into your recording app (I just use Garage Band) so you can record yourself. I always record my students playing Christmas songs every year with this method and it works very well and is very easy.
