vox Phantom April 29th, 2012, 08:17 PM I have a reissue Fender 59 Bassman LTD and I was going
to sell it. Then today a friend came over and I keep the Amp
in my Den and we moved the Amp to a different room. What
a difference now I'm looking for a good Reverb & Tremolo
Pedal. I know someone who had a Carl Martin
Tremolo Pedal for sale. I don't know much about them are
they any good:?: Thanks for any help that you can give me:cool:
smoss469 April 29th, 2012, 08:29 PM Check out the Danelectro Cool Cat trem. Cheap, but it sounds great!
ruger9 April 29th, 2012, 08:37 PM The new Strymon Flint. Hasn't even hit the shelves yet.
tazzboy April 29th, 2012, 11:10 PM Get the Voodoo Lab Tremolo
studio1087 April 29th, 2012, 11:15 PM The Hermida is my favorite reverb pedal. One knob, simple, great natural tone.

The Dano Cool Cat Trem is a great affordable Trem.

mitch_m April 29th, 2012, 11:27 PM Check out the Strymon Flint. Is not out yet but it should be soon
ifallalot April 29th, 2012, 11:29 PM There's the BOSS '65 Deluxe Reverb pedal that has overdrive, reverb and tremolo
Ringo April 29th, 2012, 11:44 PM I had the Hermida reverb and a Danelectro tremolo, you can spend a whole lot more, but those pedals are easy to use and sound good, what more do you need?
czech-one-2 April 30th, 2012, 03:06 AM I'd love to get the smaller Hermida, but my V1 in its 1590BB enclosure sounds so good I'll probably never replace it.
lareplus April 30th, 2012, 03:42 AM vox Phantom. . . "you said 'what a difference.' "
so, what was the difference? less noisy? fuller sound??
ruger9 April 30th, 2012, 06:05 AM There's the BOSS '65 Deluxe Reverb pedal that has overdrive, reverb and tremolo
avoid this one, it's a POS. And I'm not anti-BOSS at all; it's not a POS because it's a Boss, it's a POS because it's a POS
vox Phantom April 30th, 2012, 07:12 AM lareplus, when I moved the Amp from my Den to the Back
Bedroom which is bigger the amp started to sound fuller.
I will check out some Reverb & Tremolo pedals at the local
music stores.
Delta63 April 30th, 2012, 01:08 PM Check out the Strymon Flint. Is not out yet but it should be soon
+1 best of the best
jebbo April 30th, 2012, 02:40 PM You could easily trade that Bassman for a Fender Super Reverb Reissue. That gives you tube tremolo and tube reverb. There's a huge difference between tube trem/verb compared to a pedal. I think you should just trade the amp. I don't have any pedal recommendations. I use a 66 Super Reverb, so I don't need a pedal. This is all my opinion though, you can take it or leave. It's your choice.

I have no issues with Strymon... but this pedals isn't out yet. I wouldn't call it the best of the best until you have at least heard one. Its gonna have to be better than my Eventide gear to get on the board.

I think this is a great idea, trade one classic Fender RI for another, and a Super Reverb is just a great amp- the Reverb (especially) and Trem from the SR are going to be just better sounding than a pedal (although I do have an old DR, and a Boss TR-2 trem for my BJ, and I really can set the 2 trems to sound identical)
I just dig a Super Reverb!
KC April 30th, 2012, 05:37 PM FRV-1 does a good job of imitating a Fender external reverb. I use a Demeter Tremulator lately but I think I might go back to the Voodoo 4-knob. This combo works well in a gig situation -- might not pass the sniff test in a studio but who cares?
vanguard April 30th, 2012, 05:55 PM the strymon flint clips make it sound like it's gonna be the one to beat, and it's digital!
Green Lantern April 30th, 2012, 09:11 PM Super Reverbs are one of my favorite amp models, but you may not want to trade your Bassman for a Super Reverb just because of reverb and tremolo. They're two totally different designs. The Super Reverb will not sound like a Bassman, and you may not like that.

yes indeed.
