I have a 1968 non-reverb Princeton on the way. From my googling the silverface circuit that was used up until 1971 is the AA964. My question is if the BF AA964 is the same as the SF AA964. Sorry if this is a dumb question.

Yes, although the circuit labeled on the tube chart is not always correct. Given that that model experienced relatively few changes, however, you can probably assume that it is as marked.

Congrats, one of my favorite amps. Post pics when you get it.
Enjoy.

I too just acquired a non reverb princeton. Mine is a silverface from the mid to late 70's though. I have not had it long enough to actually date it but I do know the layout of mine is roughly the same as the AA964. The only differences I have found so far are: 3 prong convenience outlet and a 3 prong cord, which I am not sure is original, and mine has the 2 resistors going to ground off of the pilot lamp lugs (which is think comes from the AB1270 circuit, but I don't know what they are for as they are both broke in half and the amp still functions properly). Oh by the way, my 3 prong cord and outlet are wired with the hot and neutral reversed (with the 3 way ground switch and "death" cap)! No bueno!

I have said this before and I'll say it again. Wish, everyday, I hadn't sold my princeton non-reverb. Wonderful clean tones up til about 8 or 9 then just barely started to break up.
