First time for praise band trio; also first time running sound.

Most of our regular band will be gone tomorrow, leaving just three of us (2 guitars and female singer) to carry on.

The sound man is also gone, leaving me to set up the PA, monitors, and run sound. I've never set it up before or run the sound, but I downloaded the instruction manual for the board and I think almost everything on it is lableled, so I should be able to get it up and going (I hope). We've got a real good grip on the music, so we just have to worry about setting up and getting the mix right.

Our main male singer will be playing acoustic guitar (he's been playing drums for the past year) and I will add some fills and texture with my Tele. We'll have some good three-part harmonies and a tasteful accompanyment with the electric and acoustic guitars. Hopefully the congregation will be able to hear it!

Any sound is better than NO sound. Except possibly "fEedBAck..."

Good luck.

It went ok; the monitors sounded good for sure. Everyone I talked to after the service said the house sound was good. I took a couple of videos. I'll post them later.

The video camera was sitting right near my amp, so it's a little louder on camera than it was in the actual mix. I have to admit that this camera angle is not the best for me.
