Its a bassman 10.

More info here: http://ampwares.com/amplifiers/fender-silverfac-bassman-10/

They normally go from somewhere around 450-550.

Broken baffles are very common for older fender amps because they are made out of fiber board they can be repaired but it might be easier just to replace it. Bassically what happens is the tight grill cloth eventually warps the fiberboard to the point of breaking.

They're alright sounding amps but they're not gonna sound as great a true bassman or a twin.

Also, that one looks to be made sometime between 1976 and 1980 judging by the logo.

Who cares about the broken baffle? If it's in good shape otherwise, sounds good and you can get it for $325, get it! It's not a dealbreaker at all.

Not on a Bassman 10. It has the seperate grille panel held on with velcro. Fixed baffle, it's part of the cabinet. That makes it a bitch to replace the baffle.

What if I'm gigging?

Stuff it in a repro Super Reverb cabinet.

Once you add on a couple hundred for a new cabinet it doesn't look like such a deal.

Tack on a couple hundred more if you want different speakers.

Our bargain Bassman is up to $700 usin' that math. Hope it doesn't need tubes or a cap job...

IMO the cabinet is the worst thing about the Bassman 10. It's closed back, heavy and not really suited to guitar. It's a great amp to mod, it becomes a cool amp once modded. Everyone who discovers one at a "bargain" price thinks they've found the under the radar budget Fender. There's a resaon they're inexpensive. There are several reasons...

$700 is a little bit too much over budget

What he said, the MDF baffle is dadoed and glued into the cabinet , they can be replaced but it's a pain to do.
And as I posted on another thread about the Bassman 10 , not the greatest Fender amp , they don't sound as good as a regular Bassman head or other Fender amps, big heavy , closed back , and overpriced for what they are IMO.

Is the actual baffle that the speakers attach to broken, or is it just the part the grill cloth attaches to? Judging from the picture, it looks like just the grill.

I didn't even notice that, it is the speaker grill frame that is broken, probably easiest to just make a new one , I'd use a piece of plywood.
But that said, I still don't think a lot of the Bassman 10, I had one, our bass player had one.
The closed back cab rattled and buzzed, and it was not really very loud for a "50" watt amp into a 4-10 cabinet.
