I've got an old student model Oahu Square neck en route. It is being shipped along with the original case which the seller plainly described as "a real crapper" . So, as I ponder what to get to protect her in, does anybody out there have one they bought a case for? Does a classical case work pretty well? Or a parlor size? Or ??? Thanks!

if it is a student type, like mine-

then a parlor sized case. you may need to modify the neck brace, i had to cut a bit of the padding away to accommodate the square neck.
i dont know how many types they made, but i have another- its like 00 sized and needs a folk sized case. but its a fancier, and very obviously larger guitar.
these are awesome- congrats.

That looks a lot like mine, and it is a student model. Thanks for the info! Did you convert that to the upright tuners?

yeah- i just flipped a set of tuners.
these ones-

the originals were toast.
havent noticed any problems with them this way-
and its a few years since i started using it.
i much prefer it to leaning under the neck and twisting.
