NAD Komet 19

I normally gig with Fender amps these days. A quad and a prinston for smaller rooms.

I have had a Vox AC30 and a Hayseed 30 both of which I ended up selling. O, and a Mesa Boogie years ago and a DR Z stangray I played one gig with before selling.

From time to time I feel the need to really rock out. My Fenders sound pretty good with pedals for overdrive but not so much if you push them into overdrive natually, they like to keep it clean.

Hands down the Komet 19 has the best natural distortion of any amp I have ever played. It is also the most touch sensitive. Its nuts, by just changing my attack or slightly rolling off the vol just a tad I can go from a dirty clean to screaming.

The Port City 2x12 Cab helps to, got it loaded with Jensen Tornado's and they sound great in this cab. I tried my well worn set of celestion golds but they didn't sound so great in thie closed back cab. They were great on my hayseed with the open back cab.

That Port City 2x12 sounds MASSIVE evey bit as big sounding as my 4-12 quad reverb.

The Komet will be used on the classic rock and country/rock songs while my fenders will keep on keepin on for the traditional country stuff.

Next I need to plug the quad into the Port City and see how it sounds.

I have a vision of taking the Komet and the Quad in head form and using a Radial Headbone head switcher.

btw. ignore the mess, my house is being refurbished.

So you may ask what does it sund like?
Check out the clips

I'm not really sure what to compare it to. I ain't never owned anything that sounds like the 19.

Happy NAD!!
What a cool amp, I really like it. Listened to the clips and it sounds really nice, especially like clip 1, but I like cleans most of the time, (too lazy to drag out my pedalboard:lol:)

congrats, it's very cool.
